Kremerata Baltica and Gidon Kremer Anniversary Concerts

Kremerata Baltica and Gidon Kremer celebrate their 100th anniversary in the 2021-2022 season with concerts in 14 different countries.

The highlight of our anniversary tour is a new cycle of compositions "Eine (andere) Winterreise" after Franz Schubert, initiated by Gidon Kremer and dedicated to our anniversary.

"Eine (andere) Winterreise" after Franz Schubert is a cycle of compositions for solo violin, percussion and strings. Composers Raminta Šerkšnyte, Alexander Raskatov, Victor Kissine and Georgijs Osokins and Leonid Desyatnikov were inspired by the music of Franz Schubert and created new pieces.

You can listen to the live recording of our concert in Riga.

The first half of the concert consisted of pieces by three Baltic composers - Arvo Pärt (Estonia), Raminta Šerkšnytė (Lithuania) and Arturs Maskats (Latvia).

In the second half of the concert our new cycle "Eine (andere) Winterreise" after Franz Schubert was premiered.
