NEW ON CD – MIECZYSŁAW WEINBERG: SYMPHONIES NOS. 2 & 21

We are happy to see the release of our newest CD recorded with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla and Gidon Kremer.

This is the first Deutsche Grammophon release featuring the music of Mieczysław Weinber.

Weinberg’s Symphony No. 2 is performed by Kremerata Baltica with the solo parts played by Džeraldas Bidva, Dainius Puodžiukas, Kristina Anusevičiūtė and Giedrė Dirvanauskaitė. To perform Weinberg’s Symphony No. 21 “Kaddish” we joined the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the solo parts were performed by Gidon Kremer, Oliver Janes, Georgijs Osokins and Iurii Gavryliuk.
