The idea of "Animal Harmonics" was born in 2010 of Gidon Kremer’s wish to bring classical music closer to children. The music resounds in narrative and playful way for children's understanding and their own world of discoveries.
The musicians of this project are chosen to take care of the musical realization. The classical music is involved here in fairytales, in many animals with their characteristic tone sounds that are represented by excerpts from works of various composers – this is the musical core of the project’s concept. Animal figures, well known in the literature (The Nightingale, Babar the Elephant and Ferdinand the Bull) are portrayed musically.
