Kremerata Baltica 25th Anniversary Concert

The 25-year anniversary of the chamber orchestra Kremerata Baltica  was celebrated in 2022 with several concerts, including a special program at the Latvian National Opera  in Riga featuring violinist and founder Gidon Kremer 

Part I

• Arvo Pärt — Fratres for violin, string orchestra and percussion

• Raminta Šerkšnytė — De Profundis

• Arturs Maskats — Midnight in Riga for violin, cello, vibraphone and strings

Part II

• Igor Loboda — Requiem for Ukraine (solo violin)

• Mykola Leontovych / Jacques Cohen — Carol of the Bells

• Eine (andere) Winterreise — a cycle inspired by Franz Schubert, commissioned especially for the 25th anniversary of the orchestra, with works by several contemporary composers including:

• Raminta Šerkšnytė

• Alexander Raskatov

• Victor Kissine

• Georgijs Osokins

• Leonid Desyatnikov

This cycle was created specifically to celebrate the orchestra’s anniversary and highlights contemporary Baltic and European composers.
