Kremerata Baltica & Mario Brunello South America Tour 2019

In October 2019 we went on tour to South America with the soloists Mario Brunello and Ivan Karizna. A program was focussed on the cello repertoire and included Haydn's Cello Concerto in C major, lesser known Duport's Cello concerto No. 6 D minor and a piece for two cellos and string orchestra Violoncelles, vibrez! by Giovanni Sollima.

The orchestra pieces included Giovanni Sollima's "Note sconte" (hidden notes) in a premiere version for string orchestra and Ludwig van Beethoven's String quartet No. 16 (arrangement for string orchestra). Mario Brunello conducted both pieces and we appreciate all the knowledge, passion and insights he shared with us during this tour!

Just a few days before this tour we have finished the recording of a CD called "Searching for Ludwig". Beethoven's string quartet is on that CD and you can listen to it right now on all the major streaming platforms.

During our tour we also had a chance to give masterclasses to young musicians in Medelin!
